If
you hire a sub for your parent help shift please make the $30* fee
payable to them directly. PLEASE MAKE THIS PAYMENT TO THE SUB PROMPTLY,
sometimes subs have waited weeks before being paid for a shift and it
is very uncomfortable for them to ask for payment. Each sub has a
mailbox in the staff room near the copy machine. You should also
contact the office to let us know of any parent help schedule changes
(hiring a sub, switching with another
parent, etc.)

Agenda for February infant room meeting on 2/8/12:
1. Parent surveys (Alice)
2. Bleach in the weekend laundry (Kate)
3. Enrichment ideas (message from Maria, who will be away: "I'm leading the enrichment committee and especially since no one in the infant room is on the committee I just want to make sure I can represent for our class. So, if there are any ideas for enrichment, ie. activities you would like to see at our center, or ideas that parents in our classroom have about enrichment, for instance, if they know someone who would like to come entertain/ educate our children please bring these ideas/ requests to the meeting. So far I'm researching a drumming circle performance, a yoga instructor, Drumlin Farms and a professional storyteller. I'm looking for a wonderful children's musician, as the one we had last year doesn't have room in his schedule this year.")
4. Parent help promptness (message from Maria: "Also, I'd like to remind folks to try to be as prompt as possible for parent help shifts, especially in the morning because it puts the teacher out of ratio when parent help is late. The best thing about the parent help shift is how all of the children have a chance to bond with all of you. It's been really fun to watch the children begin friendships with each other and with each other's parents. :) ")
5. No bleach in compost trash (reminder from Maria: "Quick reminder: I wanted to be sure that everyone remembers that the plastic bag hanging in the kitchen of the infant room is for compost only, ie: food, paper towels. Paper towels that have been used with bleach should be thrown in the garbage pail which is in the nap room. ")
